PostSubject: Kobe needs surgery!   Fri Feb 15, 2008 11:06 am

Kobe Bryant has a torn ligament in his finger. He was recommended to have surgery by a doctor which would put him out 6-8 weeks. Kobe said he is going to get treatment on his fingers and doesn't want to have surgery on his hand because they are a ligament contender for the title and without him they aren't. NBA analysis' say it will be hard to play with a torn ligament in his and and see him having the surgery.

Quote :

"Kobe Bryant has sustained a torn ligament in his right pinkie and has
decided not to undergo surgery that would sideline him for six weeks,
the Lakers said today.

Bryant initially hurt his finger Feb. 5 when the Lakers played New
Jersey. The injury was originally listed as a dislocated pinkie,
although the team revealed today there was also a complete tear of the
radial collateral ligament and an avulsion fracture, in which a small
fragment of bone had been pulled off by a tendon.
